Adrift.

We’re constantly trying to find ourselves. Trying to find our own meaning in life. Some find it instantly. Others wander for years seeking their true meaning. And some may never find it.

We live in a world where our worth is based on our success. If you don’t succeed you’re worthless. And if you do succeed you’re put on a pedestal. With others watching you, waiting for the right moment just to drag you back down. After all, the higher you rise, the harder you fall.

But what is success? Most people view success as being financially successful. But there are dozens of ways to be successful. Some view intellect as success, others happiness and others peace, etc.

With such a broad definition of success it’s only natural for people to be confused. Especially near the end of high school or university, when you have to decide what you want to do with your life. You’re so young and inexperienced, yet you have to make one of the biggest decisions of your life. Some end up hating their job and wishing they had done something different. Others wished they had lived more in the moment and enjoyed life when they were young.

There are so many choices we can make. Whether they’re right or wrong is for you to decide. You only have one life, so make the most of it! If something feels right at this moment, go for it! Don’t live to regret not doing something. Try filling your life with as many experiences as you possibly can. And live to be happy.

We may constantly be wandering, trying to find our meaning. Will we ever find it? Who knows?

But who cares. Just be the person that you wish to be. Don’t let society tell you who or what you have to be. Just be happy.
